USCIS Furlough Cancelled

Over the weekend, Congress enabled the USCIS to increase premium processing fees in order to stave off the USCIS furlough. If the furlough had gone through there would have been severe delays in every immigration proses and petition.
While this news is good news for many, the fee increases to premium processing to generate more revenue may be problematic to fulfilling that goal. If the fee increase is too steep, petitioners may be discouraged to use the premium processing service.
