Presidential Proclmation on H-1B and other Immigration Categories

We at IKS ESQ. LLC. want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to make sure that this immigration proclamation by the president will not affect our clients. POTUS has made a large proclamation on immigration by in effect, halting a number of immigration categories. Most pertinent to our clients is the limitations now added to the H-1B, L-1 and J-1 VISA Categories. While the USCIS has made a statement to the effect stating that this proclamation does not affect current immigration statuses such as extensions and transfers and amendments to H-1B's, so long as there are no additional underlying issues.
The proclamation does not give guidance to future immigration petitions. The prevailing interpretations of this proclamation note the impact on non- immigrant work visas for the foreseeable future.
