INTERNATIONAL LEGAL CONSULTANT (International Compliance Officer)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Advising multinational clients on navigating the legal intricacies of cross-border transactions and operations, including regulatory compliance and frameworks, corporate governance, taxation, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.  The primary responsibility will be to ensure that clients remain compliant with UK, US and EU laws while optimizing their international business strategies. Advise clients on compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, and other relevant regulatory bodies. The beneficiary’s expertise will extend to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act, where he will develop and implement compliance programs to prevent legal violations. Provide strategic advice on international tax planning, helping clients navigate the complexities of double taxation treaties and transfer pricing regulations.  Work closely with the firm’s clients to understand their business objectives and tailor the legal strategies to meet their specific needs. Research and review regulatory changes and industry trends, prepare memorandums, as well as assess cross-border compliance in the US, UK, EU and Canada.  Responsible for identifying and mitigating potential compliance risks and providing clients with practical, business-focused solutions.  The ability to navigate complex legal landscapes and deliver clear, actionable advice is essential to representing our clients and assisting them in succeeding within the global marketplace.
 

EDUCATION

Bachelor Degree in Law/Legal Studies and specialized knowledge in legal studies and areas of law: contract, administrative, European Union, commercial property, immigration, corporate/business, employment law.
